BELVIDERE — Last year, the Boylan coaching staff started charting defensive pass deflections.
The Titans failed to reach its goal of 32 in any one game. But in the league opener Friday night at Belvidere North, Boylan came up with 34 deflections.
“Not bad,” Boylan coach Steve Goers said.
The Titans’ (5-0, 1-0) suffocating defense also forced 16 turnovers in the first half on the way to a convincing 66-37 win over the Blue Thunder.
